What are your hours?
Clerk's Office hours
- The counter is open weekdays from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
- Staff are available by phone weekdays from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
Please note we are closed during the lunch hour (12:00-1:00 PM).

How do I file a civil case without an attorney (pro se parties)?

What is your jury fee?
There is no fee to request a jury. A jury can be requested in the complaint or in a separate pleading.

You can only file a document via fax or email if you have an order by the Court to do so.

Do you send out statements for annual Federal Bar dues?
No. A notice is usually published in the NM Bar Bulletin and on our website. An email notification is also sent out in late December/early January. For a listing of current dues and fees, please visit our Attorney Admissions Page.

Can an out of state attorney electronically file to a New Mexico case?
Yes. Please visit our Attorney Admissions Page for information about appearing in an action if licensed outside the District of New Mexico.
