Court Closure: Wednesday, December 5, 2018
A National Day of Mourning for President George H. W. Bush
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The United States District Court for the District of New Mexico will be closed on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, in observance of the National Day of Mourning for President George H. W. Bush. The President has declared this day a National Day of Mourning to honor the memory of former President George H. W. Bush. Following the lead of the executive branch, the Supreme Court will be in recess and this Court will be closed.
To the extent that any jury trials or time sensitive hearings are scheduled, the presiding judicial officer will determine how those will proceed. Unless otherwise directed, all matters scheduled for this date will be reset to a future date and time, schedule change notices will be issued. All Central Violation Bureau (CVB) hearings set for December 5, 2018, will be rescheduled and notifications regarding the new date and time will be sent directly from CVB.
